Finally ... Dad's Home

Navy Aircraft Structural Mechanic First Class Charles Peterman gives four-year-old daughter Alyssa a boost in her back handspring during a Yellow Ribbon Reintegration event at a Dallas-area hotel August 27. Peterman returned to NAS Fort Worth JRB, Texas, a few days ago from a year-long deployment to Afghanistan and attended the event with his wife Wendy and their children Aiden, Alyssa and Austin. The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program was initiated by Congress in 2008, and offers access to information, resources, and benefits to National Guard and Reserve servicemembers and their families before, during, and after deployments.
