    Reserve maintainer perseveres with music, art career

    From a church pulpit to a stage bar, this former preacher walks into the spotlight. As his fingers dance on the guitar strings, his voice sings tales of pain, perseverance and his journey to exuberance. As if in a trance, the audience hangs on to this every word, and in those moments, this native Alabama Airman is able to live out his dream.

    Senior eye care exec leads Reserve squadron

    Sometimes life takes a person in an entirely different direction, but the journey can be a positive one. Col. Carl Spear, commander, 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron that provides home station medical readiness for 1,500 403rd Wing reservists and the wartime tasking to establish medical triage and staging anywhere in the world, originally wanted to teach high school biology and chemistry and coach basketball.

    IG Inspections, process managers ensure mission readiness

    The Special Operations Command Para-Commandos dazzle air show attendees around the country, but without airlift, their performance can't "get off the ground." The weekend at the Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show, a C-130 and crew from the 934th Airlift Wing left their home in chilly Minneapolis, Minn., to enjoy the sand and surf of the Grand Strand, as well as give the special ops parachute team a ride to work each day.

    Flying Jennies support special forces Emerald Warrior training

    Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 815th Airlift Squadron participated in Emerald Warrior 2018, a special operations joint training event here Feb. 26 to March 9 involving units within the U.S. Special Operations Command and Air Force Special Operations Command.
