The mission statement

This pictures sums up the 340th Flynig Training Group's mission. The 340th FTG is organized to provide associate instructor pilots for the Air Education and Training Command SUPT mission. The Group consists of a headquarters element at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, six associate Reserve flying training squadrons, and a Basic Military Training squadron: the 5th FTS at Vance AFB, Oklahoma, the 39th FTS at JBSA Randolph, Texas, the 43rd FTS at Columbus AFB, Mississippi, the 70th Flight Training Squadron at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado, the 96th FTS at Laughlin AFB, Texas, the 97th FTS at Sheppard AFB, Texas, and the 433rd TRS at JBSA Lackland, Texas.
