73 APS preps Hurricane Harvey relief supplies

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Lucas Ortega, 73rd Aerial Port Squadron cargo supervisor, adjusts webbing on a pallet used to secure American Red Cross supplies before their transport August 29, 2017, at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, in support of Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. There were 90,000 lbs. of supplies, included blankets and cots, sent as part of the Defense Support of Civil Authority. Department of Defense provides medium and heavy lift rotary wing assets, along with ground transportation, to move personnel, commodities and equipment within Texas.
