WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - Lt. Col. Chuck Pittman, director of personnel for the Readiness Management Group, takes the oath of office after his promotion to lieutenant colonel May 30 at the RMG Headquarters building here. Pittman entered the Air Force as an airman basic and rose through the ranks to chief master sergeant prior to commissioning. Ribbon-cutting new facility
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, Jr., commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, and Col. Wallace, commander of the Readiness Management Group, and other AFRC leaders cut the ribbon officially marking the command's newest facility here May 30. The RMG is slated to move into the facility next month. The new facility will also provide office space for A1 Manpower and Personnel, A4 Logistics, and A7 Installations and Mission Support. Master Sgt. David Sims and his family embrace during a surprise homecoming May 28 at the Braves baseball game at Turner Field in Atlanta. Sims was returning from a six-month deployment from Kabul, Afghanistan. His family was attending the Braves game and were called onto the field at the top of the fifth inning for a special video tribute from Sims, who they thought was still in Afghanistan. At the end of the video, Sims told them to “wait a minute.” Then, from the other side of the Braves dugout, he appeared and the family raced across the baseball field for the heart-warming reunion witnessed by thousands of applauding fans. Sims is assigned to Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command’s Communications Directorate at Robins Air Force Base, Ga. (Defense photo/Jessica Blanton)
