Ribbon-cutting new facility
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, Jr., commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, and Col. Astronaut (and Air Force Reservist) Michael Fossum works in Space Shuttle Discovery's cargo bay during a mission this summer. The astronaut, who is an individual mobilization augmentee colonel assigned to the F-16 Program Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, performed three spacewalks during Discovery's 13-day, 5-million-mile journey. Shared Accord is an annual Joint Chief of Staff exercise led by U.S. Marine Forces-Europe. KAMPONG CHAM PROVINCE, Cambodia -- Col. Paul Abson, a primary care doctor and an indivdual mobilized augmentee, assigned to the 446th ASTS McChord AFB, Wash., examines a Cambodian patient at the Kampong Cham Province Temple clinic. The clinics staff made up of total force team from the Air Force active duty, Air National Guard and Reserve had seen more than 700 patients per day at the Temple clinic here during Pacific Angel recently. Operation Pacific Angel is a joint/combined multi-national humanitarian assistance operation conducted in the Pacific area of responsibility in support USCDRPACOM capacity-building efforts. KAMPONG CHHNANG PROVINCE, Cambodia -- A young Cambodian boy is being checked out for complaints of breathing trouble by Maj.Nisha Money, a preventive health physician from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Andrews AFB, Md. A 13th Air Force led total force team of active duty, Reserve and National Guard members are working with doctors from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Cambodian dental students and other non-governmental organizations during Pacific Angel recently to provide cost free medical care to the people of Cambodia at three different operating locations. Operation Pacific Angel is a joint/combined multi-national humanitarian assistance operation conducted in the Pacific area of responsibility in support USCDRPACOM capacity-building efforts.
