Pittsburgh Reservists get surprse reunion during CNN broadcast

Air Force Reservists Senior Airmen Domenic Mash and Keith Graft surprised their wives on the set of "Headline News Morning Express with Robin Meade" show Sept. 14, during the "Salute to the Troops" segment. Katlyn Mash and Lauren Graft gave birth to their children in August while their husbands were deployed to Afghanistan. The Airmen, from the Air Force Reserve's 911th Security Forces Squadron, Pittsburgh International Airport, Pa., volunteered to replace to two Air Force Security Forces Airmen who were killed during a terror attack in Frankfurt, Germany, seven months ago. Katlyn and Lauren were brought to the show to do the live salute, not knowing that their husbands were secretly brought home for the surprise reunion, which was a first for the daily segment on Headline News.

Robins commemorates 10th anniversary of 9/11

The 9/11 Pentagon stone, acquired by Air Force Reserve Command history office, is an artifact from the West Wall of the Pentagon that was hit by a hijacked airliner on 9/11. The coordinated attacks that day killed 184 people at the Pentagon, another 2,749 at the World Trade Center and 40 aboard Flight 93 that crashed in Shanksville, Pa. Among the 9/11 fatalities was Air Force Reserve Maj. LeRoy Homer, first officer on Flight 93. The stone, approximately 40 inches long, 8 inches wide and six inches deep, represents the sacrifices of thousands of American men and women who gave their lives on 9/11. Wynonna Judd, Robin Meade headline Independence Day concert July 1

Five-time Grammy award winner Wynonna Judd and Robin Meade, anchor of HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade" will perform with the Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve at this year's Independence Day Concert in Warner Robins July 1. Ms Meade, a new talent on the Country music scene, will step away from her anchor duties at HLN to perform with the Reserve Band and emcee a portion of the Independence Day concert. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the free concert at Warner Robins' McConnell-Talbert Stadium. Festivities begin with the National Anthem and an F-15 fighter jet fly-over at 8 p.m. and features a night of music, fireworks and family entertainment. (U.S. Air Force Graphic/Maureen Owen)
