First C-5A assigned

A crowd of 350 greeted the first C-5A Galaxy assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command's 445th Airlift Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, during an arrival ceremony Oct. 3. The giant cargo hauler is replacing the retiring C-141 Starlifter fleet, which is being retired.

Refuge from the storm

About 100 patients were airlifted to Dobbins for transportation to hospitals in Atlanta, one of 17 cities in the country taking 2,500 Hurricane Katrina victims. Aerial Spraying
