The Air Force is requesting 9,900 fewer military personnel in the FY13 budget request. The active component end strength is 328,900, reduced 3,900 from FY12; Air Force Reserve end strength is 70,500, reduced 900 from FY12; Air National Guard end strength of 101,600, reduced 5,100 from FY12.
