CHAPLAIN (COLONEL) WILLIAM H. WILLIS SR.

Chaplain, Col. William H. "Bill" Willis Sr. is the Command Chaplain, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. Chaplain Willis advises the Commander of the Air Force Reserve Command on religious, ethical, and quality of life issues. He supports, evaluates, and facilitates quality chaplain ministries at Air Force Reserve Command units through staff visits, quality assessments, policy guidance, training opportunities, conferences, reports, and cross feed. Chaplain Willis also manages manpower and personnel matters, education and professional development and ensures force readiness.

Chaplain Willis is an ordained minister who has served United Methodist churches in the Louisiana Annual Conference from 1982 to 2006. His military career began in July 1987 with a direct commission as first lieutenant. He has served in all three major ready reserve chaplain programs as a Category B Individual Mobilization Augmentee through the Air Reserve Personnel Center, as a Category A unit chaplain through the Air Force Reserve Command and as a unit chaplain in the Louisiana Air National Guard.
