COLONEL MICHAEL J. "MIKE" MCCULLY
Colonel Mike McCully is the Director of Installations and Mission Support (A7), Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He is responsible for organizing, training and equipping the command's in garrison and expeditionary Agile Combat Support, which supports more than 75,000 Airmen and consists of more than 350 aircraft, assigned to three numbered air forces, 34 wings, three flying groups, one space wing and 620 mission support units. The Command has assets at 9 primary and 61 tenant locations with a $6.3 billion average plant replacement value and a $220 million annual operating budget. Air Force Reserve Command supports the Air Force mission to defend the United States through control and exploitation of air, space, and cyberspace by supporting global engagement
Col McCully is a native of Castro Valley, Calif. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1984 after graduating from California State University, East Bay and the four year Air Force ROTC Program at the University of California at Berkeley. After eight years and three tours, he left active duty and joined the Air Force Reserve in 1993. After having various assignments as a Traditional Reservist, he was selected in 1999 for the Air Reserve Technician program. Colonel McCully has served in a variety of positions during his career, including squadron commander, group commander and major command director. In addition, Colonel McCully served as the director of the Emergency Operations Center, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., overseeing the 2010 relief operations for Unified Response supporting U.S. efforts in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake.
