Colonel Eric M. Sitrin is the director of Analysis, Lessons Learned and Air Force Smart Operations 21 (AFSO21), Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He is responsible for providing in-depth analytical support and operational assessments for senior leadership and headquarters staff, and for implementing Air Force processes that focus on improvement initiatives and lean enterprise events to improve combat and combat support.

The colonel was born in New Hartford, N.Y. He entered the Air Force in November 1977 as a jet engine technician. On March 14, 1985, he was commissioned through Officer Training School, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
Colonel Sitrin is an air reserve technician with a background in both aircraft maintenance and logistics plans.
