Colonel Leslie R. Anzjon is the Director of Safety, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. In this position, he is responsible for developing and implementing mishap prevention programs for flight, ground, and weapons safety.

Colonel Anzjon was born in Missoula, Mont., and was commissioned in June 1976 after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy. In 1982, Colonel Anzjon left active duty to serve in the Air Force Reserve as a traditional reservist. He became an Air Reserve Technician in 1985. Before assuming his current position, Colonel Anzjon was the 376th Expeditionary Operations Group commander at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan from March to June 2004. Prior to his deployment, he served as commander of the 911th Operations Group, Pittsburgh International Airport ARS, Coraopolis, Pa.
