Chief Master Sgt. Thomas Zwelling is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air Force Reserve Command Recruiting Service (AFRC/RS), Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. As the senior enlisted leader, he is responsible for executing all enlisted matters and enabling the development of the war fighting maturation of all Airmen on behalf of the recruiting service commander. He is also the principal advisor to the commander on health, morale, welfare and discipline of the 440 enlisted men and women assigned to Headquarters AFRC/RS, its four recruiting squadrons and 43 main operating locations worldwide.
Chief Zwelling grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, and he enlisted as an active duty Airman in Aug 1984. He spent six years serving in Civil Engineering, mastering his position as a construction equipment operator. His duty assignments include Keesler AFB, Miss. and Spangdahlem AB, Germany before transferring into the Air Force Reserve in 1990, where he continued to serve as a construction equipment operator. In 1999, Chief Zwelling was selected into the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service, where he has excelled in a variety of positions, to include Line, In Service, Lead and Senior Recruiter. Chief Zwelling is married to Rebecca Zwelling.
