Jeffrey W. Ippolito is the Director of Information Protection for Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He is responsible for policy, procedures, and oversight of Air Force Reserve Command Information Security, Personnel Security and Industrial Security programs. This includes planning, developing and administering Information Protection programs at eleven Air Force Reserve Command locations in support of air, space and cyberspace operations. He serves as the Chairman of the MAJCOM Security Advisory Group and directs the activities of its diverse membership. In that capacity he develops risk assessments and recommends risk avoidance and mitigation measures to the commander.

Mr. Ippolito graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Akron in 1979. Commissioned as a Security Forces Officer in 1980 he was a member of the first class of Air Force officers to attend the U.S Army Infantry School at Ft. Benning, Ga. He was an honor graduate at infantry school and received two U.S. Army commendation awards for excellence in physical fitness and weapons marksmanship.

Mr. Ippolito has more than 31 years experience as an Air Force security professional at the installation, numbered air force and major command level. As a group commander he was an active member of the Atlanta Federal Executive Board and the Chicago Federal Executive Board. During that time he successfully negotiated numerous labor agreements with the International Teamsters Union, the International Association of Fire Fighters and the American Federated Government Employees Union. Mr. Ippolito is a member of the Air Force Security Advisory Council and represents all security professionals within the Air Force Reserve Command at the Air Force level.
