Col. Tim Martz, vice commander,Air Force Reserve Command Recruiting Service, givves a welcome speech to the Grambling State and North Carolina Central football teams at a dinner Wednesday night, welcoming teams to the 2016 Air Force Reseerve Celebration Bowl. Martz compared the Air Force coe values to those of the the teamrs and that each had shared values. He also congratulated the coaches and administrations of each school. He received a large applause when he told the teams that the game would be covered on the Armed Forces Network and told them how important it is to have a taste of home when deployed. The Grambling State University Tigers, led by Head Coach Broderick Fobbs, are set to take on the North Carolina Central University Eagles, led by Head Coach Jerry Mack. This marks the second year for the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl, which showcases the heritage, legacy, pageantry and tradition of HBCUs. The game will be televised live on ABC to open the bowl season. The postseason college football bowl game will kick off at noon ET on Saturday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl teams set for a throw-back matchup
Now that all the dust has settled, the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl has the two top teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference set to battle for the crown of historically black college and university national champion.

Default Air Force Logo Increased mission requirements open doors for continued service
The Air Force is introducing several personnel and manpower initiatives to meet increased mission requirements outlined in the fiscal year 2016 President’s Budget.
