Staff Sgt. August O’Niell (center), pararescueman, and his Air Force Reserve Wingmen, an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crew, reunited for the first time in June 2016 after the team embarked on a 2011 deployment to save lives when O’Niell was shot through both legs during a combat rescue mission in Afghanistan. O'Niell is the only single amputee pararescueman actively serving in the U.S. Air Force. (U.S. Air Force photo SrA Brandon Kalloo Sanes)
