MR. JOHN G. MCLAUGHLIN

John G. McLaughlin is the Deputy Comptroller and Director, Financial Management, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. As the Deputy Comptroller, he provides strategic guidance and oversight for the management and execution of $6 billion of Reserve Personnel and Operation and Maintenance appropriations at 86 AFRC funding points across the United States supporting three NAFs, 34 wings, three flying groups and 620 mission support units with 70,000 personnel across the command. He oversees financial services to include military and civilian pay, accounting operations through the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, plans and programs, oversight of non-appropriated funds, and cost analysis Mr. McLaughlin has 35 years of experience with the Air Force all within financial management.

He began his career in 1985 at Robins Air Force Base and served in a variety of positions within accounting, budget, cost, plans and programs. He moved to Travis AFB in 1999 serving as the 349 AMW wing budget officer. He moved to AFRC in 2005 as the Chief, O&M Material Support Section, was promoted to Chief, Operation and Maintenance Branch in 2007; Chief, Budget Division in 2009, and to his current position in 2010.
