Air Force Biography

Colonel Eric. W. Brandes

Colonel Eric W. Brandes is Chief, Requirements Division, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. In this position, he directs the Command’s development, analysis and acquisition of requirements for weapon system modernization and sustainment programs for 375 airframes to include fighter, bomber, mobility airlift, helicopter and re-fuel/tanker aircraft in addition to command and control, cyber systems and Agile Combat Support. Colonel Brandes directly oversees execution of the National Guard and Reserve Equipment Appropriation (NGREA) procurement funds.

Colonel Brandes enlisted in the Air Force in 1982 and was subsequently commissioned through the Deserving Airman Program in 1990. He has commanded maintenance and logistics units at the flight, squadron and group levels. Colonel Brandes served as the Director of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, 22nd Air Force and at Reserve Command headquarters as Chief of the Logistics Operations and Logistics Readiness Divisions. He also served on the Defense Material Readiness Working Group, Air Force Logistics Readiness Board, Officer Developmental Teams and in key roles as the Command’s Logistics Panel Chair and Co-chair of the Agile Combat Support Requirements Board. Colonel Brandes deployed in joint senior leadership roles to the Pacific and Central Commands’ theater of operations, where he integrated requirements of governmental, non-governmental and coalition nation members.
